Presenter Bio
Dr Linus Wunderlich is a Lecturer in Financial Mathematics at Queen Mary University of London. He co-developed and taught several courses that introduce business students to the potential of AI-driven decision making. Together with Allen Higgins and Yossi Lichtenstein he reported on his teaching in the article " Machine Learning for Business Students: An Experiential Learning Approach”. In his research, he applies machine learning methods to derivative pricing and risk measurement and investigates their mathematical foundation.
Anthony Blash received his Bachelors in Computer Science from Kean University in Union NJ, his Bachelors in Pharmacy from The Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy at Long Island University in Brooklyn NY and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions at Creighton University in Omaha NE.
Dr. Blash has completed the Pharmacy Informatics residency at Creighton University’s School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in Omaha, NE and holds the distinction of being the first pharmacy graduate in the nation to complete a pharmacy informatics residency.
Dr. Blash is primarily responsible for teaching in the healthcare informatics concentration at Belmont.
Dr. Blash came to the Belmont University College of Pharmacy from corporate America, having most recently held the position of Pharmacist Informaticist at Adventist Health West Corporate Headquarters in Roseville CA, where he was responsible for pharmacy informatics and clinical decision support initiatives at 19 hospitals and 130 physician and rural health clinics.
Allen is research active and has a history of participation in funded research projects for both EU and Irish agencies. This experience spans proposal writing, competitive grant awards and in the following roles: PI, project manager, and contributing researcher. He engages with his discipline by volunteering as a conference reviewer, associate editor, committee member, and as organization board member. He actively engages with the professional community by inviting industry people for symposia, panels, classes, and media recordings.
He has been invited to speak and lecture in other institutions within his academic network, principally: the University of Muenster and the University of Warwick. He has experience as an organizing committee member/contributor for reading groups, seminars, symposia, national and international conferences including nine Quadrangular Conferences 2007-2016; IFIP WG8.2 Working Conference Dublin 2016 (International Federation for Information Processing - Working Group 8.2 | Information Systems and Organizations); ICIS Dublin 2016 (the International Conference for Information Systems); and ITiCSE 2022 Dublin (Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education).
Cody grew up on a small farm in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada. It was through working at the family business and parents that fostered his love of technology that Cody cultivated a passion for problem-solving and systems thinking. Cody fell in and out of love with Science at the University of Alberta. Not wanting to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree, he abruptly shifted into a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education program. Cody also acquired a data science certificate through Springboard in 2018, after returning from a three-year role as Assistant Technology Director at the American International School-Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With a diverse set of skills and a lingering passion for technology, Cody has taught at all levels from grade one music education to post-secondary business analysis. He currently teaches within the IT Business Analysis program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where he supports aspiring business analysis professionals.
