After DataCamp Donates completed its fourth calendar year, 95,000 scholarships were delivered to underprivileged individuals and nonprofit admins around the world. And get this: we also received a flood of applications, breaking our previous record for partnership interest.

But these numbers only tell half the story. What truly inspires us is seeing these scholarships provide the necessary spark to turn potential into progress, with over 91% already being used. We're laser-focused on ensuring every scholarship reaches the right hands, empowering deserving learners who might otherwise be left behind.

Speaking of empowerment, Q4 also witnessed a renewed wave of partnership loyalty. Twenty returning organizations embarked on their second, third, and fourth years with us—a testament to the impact we're making together. Our constant program evolution empowers our partners to help more people more effectively.

A Catalyst for 600+ Tangible Quality-of-Life Improvements

The numbers paint a powerful picture. Driving a 91% adoption rate on our Q4 donations, our partners are doing a fantastic job of picking the most eligible individuals and motivating them to start their data journeys.

But even more gratifying is that #DCDonates learners reported over 600 success stories in Q4 2024 alone, the most in a single quarter. From securing full-time jobs to getting their work published, our scholars are etching their own remarkable success stories, like Bukola, a Wentors scholar from Nigeria:

Our Q4 2024 partners serve disadvantaged learners worldwide, but here are the countries where most of the 5,000+ new DataCamp Donates Scholars live: Afghanistan, Algeria, Belgium, Brazil, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malawi, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Palestinian Territory, Peru, the Philippines, Switzerland, South Korea, Tunisia, Ukraine, the UK, and the USA.

We're not resting on our laurels. Q1 2024 marks a rejuvenated focus on Latin America, where underprivileged individuals face immense challenges. Since the most popular data and AI coding languages are built on English, people living in Latin American countries, where typically less than a third of the population speak it, need extra support to contribute and thrive in these massive but relatively nascent industries.

That’s one reason why our Product team is hard at work on translating our most popular content into Spanish. We’re also expanding our existing partnerships with LATAM nonprofits and are actively searching for additional established NGOs in the region to partner with.
